Operation add hang with too many objects

Hi,

Can the operation Add be improve? When adding less than 200 small objects, it's done in few or more seconds, but with more objects, the app hangs.

For example, you can open this file and add the circles to create a curves layer. I don't know how the apps manage multiples objects or repetitive task, but it can be improved.
