BrianAP
When I try to launch 1.7.2 it thinks about it for a couple of seconds, then does nothing. Event viewer gives the following: Application: Photo.exe Framework Version: v4.0.30319 Description: The process was terminated due to an unhandled exception. Exception Info: Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReaderException at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonTextReader.ParseValue() at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReader.ReadForType(Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonContract, Boolean) at Newtonsoft.Json.Serialization.JsonSerializerInternalReader.Deserialize(Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReader, System.Type, Boolean) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializer.DeserializeInternal(Newtonsoft.Json.JsonReader, System.Type) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.DeserializeObject(System.String, System.Type, Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializerSettings) at Newtonsoft.Json.JsonConvert.DeserializeObject[[System.__Canon, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089]](System.String, Newtonsoft.Json.JsonSerializerSettings) at Backtrace.Model.Database.BacktraceDatabaseRecord.ReadFromFile(System.IO.FileInfo) at Backtrace.BacktraceDatabase.LoadReports() at Backtrace.BacktraceDatabase.Start() at Serif.Affinity.Application.SetupBacktrace() at Serif.Affinity.Application..ctor() at Photo.Application.Main(System.String[]) If I instal 1.6.5 that runs fine. I've run microsoft's .net verify tool - v4.0 Client and Full both verify correctly. Windows 10 Home - nothing special. Windows update reports nothing to instal. Any clues? Mark Ingram
Try deleting the %APPDATA%\Affinity\Photo\1.0\CrashReports directory.
