1.7.2 crash when printing afpub File

Hi,

There is an issue in 1.7.2 where the program may crash when printing if the file contains an embedded document.

For now if you want to print your file you can either:

  • If you have the Affinity Store version of the product, downgrade to 1.7.1 here
  • Export to PDF and print from there (looks like you've sussed this one!)
  • Rasterise the embedded documents before printing

Apologies for the inconvenience.

If you could upload your file here it would be appreciated

Duplicating the layer with the embedded (linked) document, rasterizing the copy, and turning off the original, embedded layer allowed me to both print and export to PDF.  The embeded document is still there if I need to change it and can duplicate & rasterize again if needed without too much fuss

I am having a similar issue.

I have an 8 page document.  I only want to print page 8 to proof it.  I do command P, and no matter what option i take to ask it to print page 8, KABOOM--it crashes.  I have tried selecting the page and using "Selection," and "Current Page," and entering "8" on pages when Enitre Document is selected.  I am uploading to the Dropbox three crash files for each example.

Yes, page 8 has an embedded picture.

Hurry on this one.  It's important.

Just to re-iterate, we are aware of this bug but I can't say when it will be fixed (we are aware of it effecting multiple users).

If one of the above workarounds works for you I would suggest using it.
