xresch
When opening the Color Chooser and using the CMYK sliders, when you click and drag the point on the colorful rectangle, pure black cannot be selected. The selection will go to the below values. If pure black is desired, the for sliders have to be used to get it. This issue is not present for RGB Sliders, there the mechanism of dragging the point on the rainbow area works fine. wshill
Additionally, when using a layer mask, the black ends up being a dark gray #110F0E meaning masked content shows through the mask. I can find no way to force the mask to black.
M1000
Even if you select CMYK Sliders, the Rainbow Area stays in the RGB Color Space, thats why you have to select pure black via the sliders. If you change between CMYK sliders and RGB sliders, the "Rainbow" area will change accordingly. On Windows, it seems no to make the conversion properly. However, on Mac it seems to be fine. I will log this with our developers. Thanks, Gabe. Uwe367

In a RGB document the "Rainbow" area (what's the correct term for it btw?) changes accordingly to the changes in the sliders. In a CMYK document the "Rainbow" area stays in CMYK (which makes sense). I guess there's no proper way to show a subtractive color model where you can choose 100% Black easily. Anyway, the sliders are there and I don't know any program which does this differently. Note the top layer, when enabled, the text is not completely masked by the layer mask. Text shows through onto the image. Staff Gabe Posted August 20, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 20, 2019 Currently, in CMYK, the mask only takes into account the K value. To get a fully transparent background, you would need to select k100 (the other CMY sliders don't matter).
