ottobyte
Hi, I'm just curious, does Affinity use OSX core libraries such is core image etc and is the font rendering handled via osx, or is it a separately engineered "engine". mike Quote AD 1.4.1 | AP 1.4.1 | ottobyte.com | @ottobyte | MacPro 8x2.8, 8gb, OSX 10.11.
Staff Andy Somerfield Posted August 29, 2014 Staff Share Posted August 29, 2014 Hi mike, Affinity uses the OS X "Core" technologies for drawing it's UI. The document itself if drawn using our own engine - for a number of reasons - performance being one. AndyS
ottobyte
I thought so. Thanks for explaining. Nothing wrong with that, but it appears this way on "another app" where the performance appears limited via osx drawing libs. Strange that they aren't faster, but hey whatever works faster is good with me! Great stuff btw Quote AD 1.4.1 | AP 1.4.1 | ottobyte.com | @ottobyte | MacPro 8x2.8, 8gb, OSX 10.11.
