I tried so many different thing. Also three fingers but the nodes must be selectet and then it could be you have to start drawing a lasso two times until it actually makes one. Just info for anyone else who has struggled with trying to lasso nodes on paths by relying on the in-built help. Note.. both 2 and 3 fingers didn’t seem to allow me to polygon select...
