I am not seeing the latest update on my splash screen in windows version of  Designer nor Photo,  came up with Publisher and have updated that program.  Is this a problem?

No it is not a problem, perhaps they have not been added to auto-update yet (I will check). For Affinity Store builds follow the instructions at the bottom of the 1.7.2 Windows release notes for Photo and for Designer

If you’ve purchased from the Microsoft Store— Microsoft Store updates are done automatically by the operating system (each time you start the application). If this does not happen for you, open the Windows Store app and click the three dots in the top right corner of the app and then go to Downloads and Updates. Click Get Updates. This should hopefully force the update to show.

Photo offered update on third time of launching, will try Designer once this is updated

I was asked earlier to update publisher. I did so and now the studio link does not work. I've repeatedly opened both photo and designer and unlike Pioneer, I'm not getting any update prompt from either.

Sorry but for now Publisher 1.7.2 needs 1.7.2 of Photo and Designer for StudioLink to function.

As you have Mac App Store builds of Photo and Designer please follow the instruction in the Photo and Designer for Mac about using CMD+R in the Updates page of the Store. You may not see an update for a while, but that is in Apples control, not ours.
