Leading /Line height not changing unless it's set to something extreme

Recommended Posts

I'm having an issue where adjusting the leadingĀ  (character or paragraph) is only having an effect when I choose more extreme values, say 0pt or 20pt. Apart from that it's not making any difference? Am I missing something?

My first guess is that the text is set to follow a baseline grid, and only the bigger values are enough to cause the text to jump to a different grid line.

I agree. I encountered the same when I first started using Publisher last year and it took meĀ  a while to figure it out. Try ticking the "ignore Baseline grid" box from the Text Frame Studio panel.
