I can think of at least 3 ways to do this, depending upon the specifics of the task.

Lets start with the simplest…

  1. Select both lines.
  2. Select both nodes (with the node tool)
  3. Drag one node, and the other will move too.

Method 2: use symbols. That way each line is an instance of the symbol. So any change will be made to all copies of the line.

Method 3: I need to go try it out - will update if it works!

Thank you for the quick response. The simplest I think will not work for me, cause I have two lines directly on top of each other, that is a frequent use of my work. In AI I simply use the command „Transform again” for the second point. I work with documents with thousands of points and lines - it's a kind of technical drawing.

For that particular situation there is a new feature of the Node Tool that will do what you want. I am not exactly sure what it is called but it involves hovering nodes on one curve over the nodes of another until it copies the node it is hovering over.
