md_germany
Hello, I have two lines. From the first, I move point A with the node tool to position B. Now, I want to move the point A from a second line with the same values. How can I do this? Aammppaa
I can think of at least 3 ways to do this, depending upon the specifics of the task. Lets start with the simplest… Select both lines. Select both nodes (with the node tool) Drag one node, and the other will move too. Method 2: use symbols. That way each line is an instance of the symbol. So any change will be made to all copies of the line. Method 3: I need to go try it out - will update if it works! md_germany
Thank you for the quick response. The simplest I think will not work for me, cause I have two lines directly on top of each other, that is a frequent use of my work. In AI I simply use the command „Transform again” for the second point. I work with documents with thousands of points and lines - it's a kind of technical drawing. Aammppaa
Affinity doesn't have a Transform Again command. But Method 1 should still work just fine… Quote Win10 Home x64 | AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 3.7GHz | 48 GB RAM | 1TB SSD | nVidia GTX 1660 | Wacom Intuos Pro
md_germany
Thank you for your help! That works 4me too. Nevertheless, I would like to see improvements on the Transformation panel. For that particular situation there is a new feature of the Node Tool that will do what you want. I am not exactly sure what it is called but it involves hovering nodes on one curve over the nodes of another until it copies the node it is hovering over. PixelPest
There´s no need for any activated of the "Ausrichten"-properties and no additional key used here to get "Move and Copy handles" to work. Cheers
