IgorFB Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Hi all, First time poster. Been using Affinity on my iPad Pro for a while now and loving it but I've run into an issue and I can't find any info on this. Does Affinity on the iPad have a file size limit when importin PSD files? I have a file that's ~400mb with just over 100 image layers, its basically a collage I'm working on. I cannot for the life of me open it in Affinity. Tried from iCloud and Dropbox and the file appears greyed out from both. I have tried uploading the file to DB again from a browser rather than the app and nothing. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks, Quote
Staff stokerg Posted August 14, 2019 Staff Posted August 14, 2019 Hi IgorFB and Welcome to the Forums, We would really need a copy of the PSD file to see what's going on, if you could upload it here we can take a look. Have you tried moving the file to the iPads local storage to see if you can open it from there? There isn't a size limit but due to the limited memory available on an iPad the PSD may be slow to work with depending on how complex it is but it should open. Quote
IgorFB Posted August 19, 2019 Author Posted August 19, 2019 Apologies for the delay. I have moved the file to local storage and appended an extension to the file (for some reason it had disappeared) and I have managed to open it. As you've pointed out it is a bit slow due to the complexity of the file but it does open! Many thanks for your help. Quote
