martytoons
I'm posting this as requested by the Affinity Designer Twitter Acct. Whenever I export an Affinity Designer file to the Cloud, the layer information doesn't stay as I saved it. When I open the exported file in Illustrator (CS5) the layers have lost their groupings and layer names.... all the layers are saved in one big folder together. This happens whether I export the file as an EPS or a PDF. cool rockin daddy.pdf cool rockin daddy car.eps cool rockin daddy car 2.eps
Staff Callum Posted August 14, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 14, 2019 Hi Marty toons, Welcome to the forums In terms of grouping and layer names this is unfortunately by design at the moment. However the layer order should be preserved when exporting to PDF. If possible could you provide the afdesign file? Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. DM1
Looks ok to me. I opened afdesign and exported as PDF. Set rasterise to nothing. File structure appears same. Hope this helps. martytoons
I changed the one setting to Rasterize =to nothing , as you suggested but the same thing happens. Does the fact that I'm opening this in CS5 and not CC have anything to do with it ?
