Brush Texture change

Hello, I'd like to address a problem I'm having about raster brush on pixel persona (Affinity Designer).

The brush is responsive and it goes smoothly, but whenever I lower the width of my brush (2.0px below), the brush would create a dotted/broken line stroke. I checked everything, tweak some settings in the brush settings, I even make sure I'm not using pixel brush. Is there anything I can do with it and if so, how?
