ALLANSJACKSON
I'm most likely missing something basic but I'm stumped finding the Publisher equivalent for InDesign's ability to recognise clipping paths embedded in jpg files and flow text around the selected area rather than the image box as a whole. Our workflow was typically that photographers would submit images with clipping paths embedded (using Photoshop) to isolate the subject. On import to Indesign it was a simple matter to flow text around the subject. I did figure out how to adjust Publisher's text wrap outlines but it would be laborious if there were a lot of images to place. Staff Callum Posted August 13, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 13, 2019 Hi AllansJackson, Welcome to the forums We don't currently support clipping path JPGs made in PhotoShop I'm afraid. You can find out more regarding this here: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/54491-affinity-photo-saving-clipping-path-into-jpeg/ Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP. ALLANSJACKSON
Thanks Callum. Pity about that. Clipping paths can be very helpful when isolating parts of images and flowing text around them. Otherwise, Publisher is a great effort.
