Getting a # of # on my pages

# of # is how they will show on the masterpage, is that what you meant?

@Joachim_L - I went there and it did show me the amount of pages I had. I thought that there was a way to do it automatically so that if I ended up adding more pages then I wouldn't have to go to the master page to change the amount of pages. Does that make sense?

@Patrick Connor - If I put # of # then on all my other pages it would show 1 of#, instead of 1 of 54 or 1 of 70.

That is what should happen yes.

I think we need your file to see what is going on.

? I am lost at this point.

Based on the assumption your document has 100 pages and you want an automatic page numbering on each page. And you want  to have page 1 look the numbering like 1 of 100 and on page 100 the numbering look like 100 of 100.

Go to the master which must be applied to all 100 pages. Insert a text field. Next action is Menu Text -> Insert -> Fields -> Page Number. Next type the " of " into the text field. Make panel Fields visible. Double click on Total Pages under Document Statistics and you are finished. If you now add 5 pages at the end of your document (having the master page applied) and save the document on the last page now 1 of 105 will be displayed.

If this is not working, something is really wrong with your document.
