When I try to use Publisher I find a properties box gets stuck to the top left corner, obscuring the file menu option. I try to drag it using the mouse but it will not move. some times part of the box is off the top of the screen. Resizing Publisher or dragging Publisher to my other screen has no effect.

How do I deal with this?

A screenshot would help, so we can see more details of your problem.

Thanks. I'm not sure why it's positioned there, but it looks like that's the lower part of the Text Frame studio panel.

You should be able to remove it by using View > Studio and unchecking Text Frame in the list of studio panels. If that doesn't do it, or if it comes back mis-positioned when you try to show it again, perhaps View > Studio > Reset Studio would help.

Done a bit more exploring. I think this behaviour occurs when you have deselected 'Dock Tools'' I believe the program does not know where to put the new box.  When you move publisher the box stays in place and sometimes the part of it is off the screen.
