I am a newcomer to Affinity Photo. I like what it does but there are two issues...first each image defaults to Affinity. How do you stop this? Secondly I thought to cure this I would uninstall it from my Windows 10 pc,but notable to do this the message "cannot access the specified device path" is displayed...again can this be corrected? Any help would be greatly appreciated>

Hi Dumpystumps and Welcome to the Forums,

The first issue, all files opening with Affinity is straightforward to fix.  If you right click on an image you want to open and select Open With>Choose Another App and you'll be shown a list of other apps that can open the image.  Select the one you want and make sure 'Always Use this app to open...' is ticked.

The uninstaller issue, it sounds like something has cleaned out the files needed for an uninstall.  It's easy to get around, just rerun our installer, as if installing the app again and you'll be given the option to Uninstall.

I have yet to successfully produced an actual printed book with this software. Files get rejected (talking drivethru rpg here, nobody really complicated. you would think affinity could spit out a print ready file for drivethru POD and Lulu POD. Buuuut nope.
