Flood select Tool --- Bereich auswählen

In a photo of a butterfly, the yellow spots are too bright. I would like to highlight them with the 'Flood Select' tool to make them darker. But suddenly a completely different area of the photo is selected. What am I doing wrong? See the following video clip.

In einem Foto eines Schmetterlings sind die gelben Stellen zu hell. Ich möchte sie mit dem Werkzeug 'Bereich auswählen' markieren um sie dunkler zu machen. Doch plötzlich wird ein ganz anderer Bereich des Fotos ausgewählt. Was mache ich falsch? Siehe folgenden Video-Clip.

It looks like you're starting with an active selection, and you're in "Add" mode rather than "New". If you want to select the yellow spots you should remove the existing selection before trying to make the new one, I think.

Hallo @Guzzi,
Ich würde wie folgt vorgehen.

1. Bild öffnen und duplizieren.
2. Mit dem Auswahlwerkzeug den Schmetterling auswählen.
3. Die Auswahl mit STRG +J duplizieren.
4. Aktiviere das Panel Kanäle, ein Klick auf den Grünkanal (unterhalb Verbund Alphakanal).
   und erstelle eine Graustufenebene. (Der Grünkanal bietet in diesem Bild den höchsten Kontrast).
5. Aktiviere die Graustufenebene  und mit einer Einstellung  Kontrast und Helligkeit,
   den Kontrast erhöhen und ein wenig die Helligkeit anpassen, dann zusammenlegen.
6. Mit einer Einstellung Tonwertkorrektur, Schwarz und Weiß anpassen, dann zusammenlegen.
7. Den Malpinsel  mit der Farbe Schwarz aktivieren, den Mischmodus auf Ineinanderkopieren
   stellen und die dunklen Bereiche übermalen.
8. Die Farbe des Malpinsels auf Weiß stellen und über die Hellen und weißen Stellen malen.
9. Nun das Werkzeug Bereich Auswählen aktivieren mit einem Klick auf Weiß eine Auswahl erstellen.
   Der Toleranzwert sollte ca. 20 % betragen, und die Option Angrenzend deaktiviert sein.

Die zuvor erstellten Ebenen (Graustufenebene und Auswahlebene) können gelöscht.
Die Auswahl kann zur weiteren Nutzung als Reservekanal gespeichert werden.

I would proceed as follows.

1. Image open  and duplicate.
2. Select the butterfly with the selection brush tool.
3. Duplicate the selection with CTRL + J.
4. Activate the panel channels, clicking on the green channel (below composite alpha channel).
   and create a grayscale layer. (The green channel offers the highest contrast in this picture).
5. Activate the grayscale layer and with a  adjustment Contrast and Brightness,
   increase the contrast and slightly adjust the brightness, then merge.
6. With an adjustment Level, adjust black and white, then merge.
7. Activate the paintbrush with the color black, set the blend mode to overlay.
8. Set the color of the paintbrush to white and paint over the highlights and the white areas.
9. Now activate the Flood Select Tool  and create a selection with a click on white areas.
   The tolerance value should be about 20% and the  option Contiguous should be disabled.
   
   
The previously created layers (grayscale layer and selection layer) can be deleted.
The selection can be saved for further use as a spare channel.
