nagoodman
In my effort to totally switch to AP I am trying to recreate what I do in PS. So, I have an image which I duplicate layer and then under filter detect edges, which I desaturate and then change the blending mode to multiply and lower the opacity. What this does is give me something of a sketch around my image . Best description I can think of. But, I cannot get the same effect in AP. I can't seem to layer the detect edges over the layer below it. I've tried numerous different ways but just cannot get the same effect. If anyone has a suggestion I would be most appreciative. Thank you.
Wosven
Woudn't it be in Filters > Detection > Detect edge | Detect vertical edges | Detect horizontal edges (or similar, since I'm using French version).
nagoodman
Yes, that is where it is but what I am saying I cannot get the same effect. When I change the blending mode, it does blend with the layer below it.
Gnobelix
Hello @nagoodman, Invert your Edges Layer, then you should get the same results as in Photoshop. Invest your Edges Edges invert in Affinity Edges in Photoshop Cheers Cheers Quote Affinity Photo 2.4: Affinity Photo 1.10.6: Affinity Designer 2.4: Affinity Designer 1.10.6: Affinity Publisher 2.4: Affinity Publisher 1.10.6: Windows 11 Pro (Version 23H2 Build (22631.3447)
