Affinity for Ipad Selection & Refine problem

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am a new user of affinity photo. I am using an ipad air3 w/ 256gb w/ apple pencil . I tried working on a 1000 x 1500 pixel with the smart brush tool, and then with the refine tool. After that I click the output and select new layer with mask. I don't have any problem , it works.

Then when I work on a larger file, 2000 x 3000 pixel , and do exactly the same thing, the program turns off. Nothing is saved, I have to turn on the program and start all over again. Still the same result. Can somebody help. Thanks.

Sounds like a memory problem have you tried restarting your iPad, press volume up, volume down in quick succession then press and hold power continuously until you see the Apple logo. On older iPads its HOME+POWER continuously until the Apple logo appears. If the slide to power off appears the you haven’t done it right.

Look in the Settings app under ‘Privacy  > Analytics > Analytics Data’ for a filename of the form 'Photo iPad-YYYY-MM-DD-hhmmss.ips’, where ‘YYYY-MM-DD’ is a datestamp and ‘hhmmss’ is a timestamp. If you find a relevant file, use the ‘Share ’ button to save it to somewhere such as cloud storage so that you can attach it to a new post in this thread for inspection by Serif staff.
