garrettm30
In another thread, it was observed that sometimes the results of a search are not highlighted in the text, but we had trouble identifying a recipe to illustrate the problem. I think I found an example that was at least reproducible enough for me to rehearse it several times and then get it down in this little video. The key (at least in this one example) seems to be that I have started the search when the move tool was chosen and there was no object selected. When I press the Find button, the Text Tool is automatically chosen and the correct text frame is selected, but the first matching string is not highlighted. Also, the highlighting color varies between gray and light blue, neither of which match the system highlighting color, which I had currently chosen as purple for the sake of the test. It seems the gray color happens every time one clicks on a search result in the result list, and upon clicking Find every time after that. However, if one then clicks into the text, using the Find button results in the blue highlight. find_highlighting.mov I am attaching this test file, although I doubt it has to do with any one file, but you can be the judge of that. The file was created and the test was done in beta 442, but this issue manifests in the published version. I tested on macOS 10.14.6. test.afpub Old Bruce

I can reproduce that behaviour here. Any tool other than the text tool will result with the first find not highlighting. This is probably what I have previously (un)observed. First 'find' selects the frame, second selects the text tool and highlights the found text. thomaso
I tried that nice .afpub in v442 only and there I don't get the inital gap/missing highlight of the first found item with an unselected text frame when start searching. Nor at any other time when clicking. – I can click anywhere in text frame or found item list and get each time an according highlight. > highlighting color varies between gray and light blue I do get them consequently: in light blue if I toggle through the results by clicking "Find" / in blueish gray when clicking on a list item.Possibly these two colors are related to an internal experiment with rgb and cmyk color spaces in AfPub?
