Tyson of the Northwest Posted August 9, 2019 Posted August 9, 2019 I have been making decorative text boxes in Designer to be used in Publisher. But when I try and resize them it distorts the designs. So I have to go into the Designer persona, select the nodes that I want to move together, move them, then repeat the process at least 3 more times. More if I add a midpoint decoration. Is there a way to group the nodes so that when I resize the whole design, they stay in position relative to each other and don't scale with the size change? Quote
Dan C Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 Hi Tyson of the Northwest Apologies for the delayed response here, could you please provide a copy of the file in question so I can look into this for you? Quote
PixelPest Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 As long the parts are editable paths you can grab a portion of the design to alter the size. Maybe like so: Cheers Quote
thomaso Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 To change the frame size without changing the boarders ratio you might want to try/play around with the "Constraints" panel. For instance ...: constraints deco frame boarder.mov 747fan 1 Quote • MacBookPro Retina 15" | macOS 10.14.6 | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1 • iPad 10.Gen. | iOS 18.5. | Affinity V2.6
prophet Posted July 1, 2020 Posted July 1, 2020 "Constraints Panel"?!?! Wow!!! Learn something new everyday. That's an amazing tool. Quote
