Reduce Color Saturation inside Selection in Affinity Designer

Recommended Posts

I am quite new to Affinity Designer and I have a (probably) pretty simple question. In Designer, I draw two vector shapes with two different colors. Next, I use the rectengular marquee tool to select a square of the two shapes as shown in the attached screen shot. Inside the selection I want to reduce the color saturation, outside the colors should not change. Can someone help me with this issue? Thanks in advance.
