non printing text boxes

Is it possible to create a non printing text box on Pub. I would like to have something like a field for the Work Page Number that will not print out.

Unfortunately there is no such "not print" property yet. As a workaround you would need to either place the text in its frame outside of the page, or to set the according layer to invisible before print.

You could create a Master Page with a "work notes" Text Frame on it, and apply that Master to the pages that need the notes.

When it's time to print you can just hide the layer on the Master Page, and it is hidden on all the document pages, too.

Thank you for this. I seem to remember a feature like this in InDesign. It would be nice to have.
