MartianZero
Any idea when/if native raw definitions will be updated? Doesn't currently support the raw files form my Canon EOS RP camera and this is a deal breaker for me... Help me get off of Photoshop/Lightroom! Staff stokerg Posted August 8, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 8, 2019 Hi MartianZero and Welcome to the Forums, We need the RAW engines we use to add support for these RAW files before we can open them. Sadly we don't have a timeframe on when this be.

In the Develop Assistant there is the pulldown RAW engine, with Serif Labs preselected. A pulldown indicates to me, that there could be other options. Is it planned to make use of other RAW engines as well? On Windows we have access to one RAW engine, Serif LABS. On Mac, there are two RAW Engines, Serif Labs and Apple Core (this is built into MacOS). If Windows ever decide to include a RAW Engine then i suspect we would be able to add that to Affinity and make use of it. But for now Windows users only have access to the Serif Labs RAW engine.
