Selective Clarity?

The Clarity slider obviously affects the whole image.I would like to apply Clarity to parts of the image, not all of it. Any ideas how I can achieve this please? Thanks

rugbynut, you can use a selection to choose which part(s) of the image the filter will work on.

Another approach is to apply the adjustment to the entire image and then erase the bits you don't want - I often do this to landscapes, where I like the clouds to appear softer.
