Andy Marsh Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Hi folks, Do you think that you might add a contact sheet generator like the Photoshop/Automate/Contact Sheet II in Adobe products? Personally I use this function to generate contact sheets for my creative projects and I know a lot of creatives who use this function. Maybe there is a workaround method using a macro? Thanks, Andy Quote
Pšenda Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Do you want this feature for Affinity Photo? So after the photo editing program? I think it would fit the Affinity Publisher. fde101 Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Maybe the still-little-known-about-it future DAM product could generate a contact sheet from an album of Photos, as a Publisher document? Quote
Fixx Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 I seldom need that feature but I use ContactSheetMaker to do it. Quote
JWR Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 The ability to make contact sheets is a useful feature that Affinity Photo should have. I make contact sheets from time to time and I miss this feature. Quote
fde101 Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 The problem is that Photo works with one document at a time, so your contact sheet would always have a single image on it. Generating a contact sheet that spans multiple photos goes against the nature of the program. I still think it would be a better fit for the DAM solution than for the existing software. If any of the current Affinity products should get this feature it should be Publisher, though in a modified form - I could see being able to select a bunch of objects (photos or whatever) on a page and use an "Arrange as a Grid" command or similar, and possibly an option to display a source filename below or over top of each placed image. If the grid arrangement specified too few columns/rows to hold the selected images, they could spill onto the next page... adrianlambert 1 Quote
