James Lee
As a photographer, I create macros to make my life easier and save time on repetitive tasks. I've created a simple macro that resizes the image canvas and flattens the image. I want to also include saving and closing the image, but I keep getting a dialog asking if I want to save the flatten image. My answer to the dialog box question is always 'Yes'. Why can't I just record my dialog box choices into the macro?
Staff stokerg Posted August 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 5, 2019 Hi James Lee and Welcome to the Forums, You can't record the Save/Closing of a file in a Macro, it's not currently supported. You should find if you close a file while recording, Affinity stops recording the Macro and will wipe the steps it had recorded up to that point. It’s entirely understandable that Affinity Photo stops recording the macro if you close the current file, but it would be better if it didn’t automatically discard all the steps that the user has painstakingly performed. James Lee
Thank you! I was worried that was the case. I do hope that Serif changes this in the future.
