Kazoo Posted August 3, 2019 Share Posted August 3, 2019 Hi Team, Been using Affinity Designer for a little while now and have just bought Publisher. Would love to see RTL text support in both Designer and Publisher going forward. As someone who speaks Farsi (Persian) and loves Persian calligraphy and typography I had looked forward to experimenting with opentype fonts in Designer in Persian, but the characters do not render correctly for this to be possible. For rudimentary word processing in Farsi I have used Mellel for many years, as Mac MS Word RTL text support is non existent, but this doesn't allow anywhere near the flexibility and creativity of a "proper" DTP or design application. I'm sure there are many native speakers out there who would love to see this feature too and not just an enthusiast such as myself. I do hope this is something you are working on Thanks!
