Strange artefacts while painting large areas

Recommended Posts

I'm using AP 1.7.1 on 27" iMac Retina 5K with latest OSX and Wacom Intuos Pro L and I just noticed that when I fill larger areas using brush tool there are strange white spots/artefacts (see attached screenshot).

There's no way to get rid of these spots except by using smudge tool. No matter what brush I will use (built-in or imported abr brush), the effect is the same: symmetrically placed spots.
Does anyone experienced it too?

Hi SnakeArtworX,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Seems some tiling/rendering issues. I assume it will also happens if you paint with the mouse instead on the stylus/pen, is that correct? Do you mind uploading the file shown in your screenshot above for us to check please? I can provide an upload link if you wish to keep the file private. Thanks.

Note the screenshot above if from Affinity Designer not Photo...

Thank You.
If I understood correctly (and there was a typo: "if" instead of "is"), You mean that I posted a screenshot from Designer, not Photo. It's incorrect. The screenshot is from Photo.
Yes, I can send a file to You. What I noticed, when I opened that file today, is that these white marks are still there, even if I get rid of them earlier by using the smudge tool.
