When recording in raw format, the file format results in naming differences. - Although Leica cameras usually save their raw data photos as DNGs, ie in Adobe's "Digital Negative" format. In the case of the C-Lux, however, the file carries the extension RWL, so it becomes the "Raw Leica" format, while the Panasonic version stores its images as RW2 file as with all cameras of the manufacturer. Technically, the RWL version is a derivative of the RW2 variant.
