I've just purchased Affinity Photo for Desktop as it seemed like a really good replacement for Photoshop, which is simply too expensive. However, I've just run into an error (File type not supported) when I tried to open the raw files from my shoot today taken with a Canon 250D. This is very frustrating, as I would like to edit my photos, and I would very much prefer not to be forced to switch back to Photoshop.

Am I importing the files incorrectly, or is this a bug?

Thanks for the info y'all. TIFF exports seem to be a somewhat acceptable workaround for now, but not exactly ideal. . .

Does anyone have a link to a development blog that discusses progress on implementing support for modern raw files? I didn't see any mention of a timeline.

There doesn't seem to be one!  Users of AP, Luminar, ON1 etc have been asking for several months, but it seems to be something that's always scheduled for "a future release".
