Eugene Lazarenko
I found interesting thing with expanding stroke with arrowheads. If I trying to expand stroke of unclosed path with center alignment - everything is okay, but when I using inside or outside stroke alignment, shape is losing arrowheads. It's a problem because unclosed path with different stroke alignment looks same whatever is it center or inside/outside. This problem same for both Designer versions PC or iPad. Staff Sean P Posted August 5, 2019 Staff Share Posted August 5, 2019 Hi Eugene, Thanks for letting us know. I've reproduced it and will get it passed on to development. Eugene Lazarenko
gorillaGirl79
Thank you!!!! I expanded an arrowhead stroke once and then couldn't figure out why it wasn't working the next time.

This issue is back. Or was it ever fixed? I can't expand a stroke with an arrowhead.
Imonobor
Arrowheads are still disappearing. Apparently it takes 3+ years to fix something like this.
NotMyFault
Easy workaround: Change stroke alignment to center. Inner/outer alignment does not differ from center alignment for open curves currently. So the expand stroke issue is more a (avoidable) side effect. There is a lengthy thread about inner/outer alignment not working in case of open curves. It didn't save me the 10 minutes of reconstructing arrowheads with the pen tool and putting the strokes in place, but I hope it might help someone else coming across this problem.
