Jeremy Bohn
When I copy then paste FX on an object, the effects are halved when pasted. For instance, a bevel or shadow effect on text, I choose copy, then select a new text element and go Edit > Paste FX. The amount of shadow and bevel is half of what it was on the original item. Jeremy Bohn
When I first posted that, I was able to replicate it over and over. Now today, I can't. So there must have been something else I had done before. But I was copying from another document and pasting into a new one when the FX weren't pasting correctly. Documents with different DPIs will display the FX differently when copied and pasted between the documents. Maybe that was a factor. Jeremy Bohn
Good observation, but both documents are 300dpi and when I tried copying and pasting between the 2 again days later, I wasn't able to replicate the issue.
prophet
I found this issue today. Slightly different in that I'm copying in the same document and values aren't "halved," but when copying FX (inner shadow in my case) from one object to another, the values do not remain the same. Even weirder, I can create an impossible situation with the pasted values exceeding 100%!!! prophet
Ok, so bonehead me looked at the radius and confused with percentage, so not an impossible situation. But the point remains that the value is not copied directly.
