jackamus
Here is an interesting observation. I created a dashed line and saved it as a Style which contains the colour, type of dash and stroke thickness. I used this line and thought I could change its colour and stroke thickness in the usual way but I couldn't. Wouldn't this be a useful feature to be able to locally edit a style that doesn't change the actual saved style rather have to keep saving variations to the Styles tab? What I am suggesting is that once a 'Style' has been used it loses its connection to the Styles tad and just becomes another editable object. Staff MEB Posted June 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 16, 2015 Hi jackamus, That's how it works currently. Styles are not linked to the objects they are applied to. You an edit the objects freely without affecting the saved style. Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
ctr.tanc
I'd love to see this changed so that you can edit the styles (in the styles panel, maybe with some sort of flyout) after they are saved, and those styles will carry over to any object they have been applied to. However, when I select an object with that style applied and begin editing the style of it, it unlinks the "global" style that was applied.
