ONSO
Hello I'm experiencing an issue with AP crashing when opening large files. I am currently working on some scanned .tiff formated image that are between 2.2gbs and 2.39gbs in size — each time I attempt to open one AP crashes. In order to see if this happens with all larges file I attempted to open an image that was 1.98gbs in size & AP opened that one without crashing. It seems that AP is having issues with files that are 2gbs + in size. I was wondering if any one else has had this issue? I'm going to re-install AP and see if that will correct the issue. More to follow. 15"-inch MacBook Pro, 2017, 2.9GHz Intel Core i7 | 16Gb
Staff Leigh Posted June 16, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 16, 2015 Do you have your 2GB+ file on Dropbox? If so, is it possible to give me a link to the file so I can test it? No worries if you haven't - I will use our scanner to create one.
ONSO
Leigh, Thanks for the response. I do not have any of the files on dropbox — sorry. In an attempt to resolve the issue I re-install AP and adjusted the memory allocation with no success. AP is still crashing when I open a 2gb+ file. 15"-inch MacBook Pro, 2017, 2.9GHz Intel Core i7 | 16Gb

Staff Leigh Posted June 17, 2015 Staff Share Posted June 17, 2015 I've just scanned a document and it saved as a 1.6gb tiff image. This crashed Affinity Photo. It opened fine in Photoshop. Was the 1.98gb file a scanned document or/and a tiff image?
