AFD & AFPh:Grid&Axis Mngr Disappears-cannot get back

Recommended Posts

Just stumbled upon this, thought I'd mention it: see attachment.
Goes for both Designer & Photo (Mac).
It might be by design, it might be a bug - that's for the experts to decide .

The Grid & Axis Mngr Disappears completely when clicking its Orange Minimize Button and cannot be called back, no matter what.
You have to quit & restart the application to get it back,  then the Grid&Axis Mngr shows immediately on the screen.

Please have a look at the mov file.
I did not include the restart in the movie because then the file gets too large to upload, sorry.

Hi catlover,

I believe this is by design. I presume you have 'Minimise windows into application icon' enabled in Settings > Dock? This will minimise all windows to the applications icon, rather than the end of the dock. You can get this back by right clicking the Affinity app and selecting the window from the list just above 'Options'.

EDIT: That said, after I returned to it after opening another window I can't access any of them! Show All Windows doesn't help either!

Just for what it is worth I don't see either behaviour here on the 10.14.6 OS (haven't checked on the laptop and 10.12). The windows minimize and pop back properly regardless of whether they are documents or the Manager window.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
