Another thing: I've noticed that If I try to use the Tool with a complex design (result of boolean addition of many shapes) it won't work. It will just drag the copy and not make a transformation happen. Am I doing anything wrong?
PixelPest
Mmh - it kinda works - but you need to flip the result vertically: Maybe upload an example file of your choice.

PixelPest
Steps are: 1. Make a duplicate 2. Take Point Transform Tool 3. Shift and snap Origin Point with shift key down horizontally 4. Hold Shift key down to scale the copy over to the right till it snaps at 100% 5. mirror vertically ( and horizontally if needed) - done Marco_C

At least for me, this only works if there is a node on the curve at one of its corners & with the Point Transform Tool I drag on one of those nodes. So for example, it would work with the lower shape below but not the upper one: mirror or not.afdesign Am I missing something? Exactly, we shouldn't have to duplicate, then go into a special point mode, then have to move the mouse back and forth 10 times to make sure it's -100% scale, then flip it. That's even when it does work, because as others have said it often does not.

Am I missing something, or is it just a matter of very carefully setting it to 100% manually? Either way, it is still a multi-step operation so it would be nice if there was a one-step duplicate & mirror tool mode of some kind built into the app. ziplock9000 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.4.1 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 Affinity Photo 1.10.8; Affinity Designer 1.108; & all 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.

Graphics apps have had this basic functionality for over 3 decades.

Staff Dan C Posted September 7, 2022 Staff Share Posted September 7, 2022 Absolutely, at first it was only a slow response time issue we were investigating, however this became a cloudfront 403 Error whenever trying to post replies - we've since resolved the error stopping anyone from posting (obviously ) but we're still working to resolve the slow loading speeds currently R C-R 1 Quote Please Note: I am now out of the office until Tuesday 2nd April on annual leave.
