I have the latest version of affinity photo (1.7) and have been running it without issue on my MacBook Pro which uses high Sierra. Today it inexplicably crashed whilst editing a photo. The program completely froze the computer and the only way out was to turn off the machine and restart it again. From then on, whenever I try to edit a photo using the program, it completely crashes my computer. Every other program works fine. The only thing that has changed is the size of the raw files I'm processing as I have recently bought a new camera which is 45 megapixels. The computer itself has the maximum memory it can have and has a 240gb ssd with an additional 2terrabite hd. Is this likely to be a problem with the affinity photo application or could it be a computer graphics problem? Should I uninstall and reinstall the application?

Hi Coppernicked,

You can try resetting Affinity and see if it functions better then.  To do this, close Affinity and then hold down the Control key and start Affinity.  You should then get a message about clearing some settings, at this stage, i'd select all and then click on Clear.

The reset will put Affinity back to its default state, so you might like to export any custom brushes/assets you've created before doing the reset :)
