MikeFromMesa
I have been using the Media Browser from time to time without any real issues (other than a bug involving Preview that I posted some time ago and that has been addressed), but I have always added folders by right-clicking on the MB window and selecting a folder from the browse dialog window that appears. That seems to work fine. However the Media Browser window specifically says to drag folders to it and, being curious, I tried that, but without any success. The MB window disappears whenever APB does not have focus so clicking on Finder to select a folder to drag is sufficient to make the process of dragging the selected folder impossible. I have tried this both in Separated Mode and in normal mode. I have tried dragging a folder to APB when an image was open and when no image was open. I have tried dragging to the image display section and to the border. All attempts have been to no avail. If an image can be dragged from Finder to APB could someone please tell me how to do that? If not (as I suspect), perhaps this should be moved to the bug forum.
billtils
Mike, you can drag a folder (not an individual file) into the Media Browser - drag it to the list of folders at the top of the window, not to the bottom half where the thumbnails appear. (Or at least it works that way for me). Retina iMac (4K display, 1TB SSD, 16GB RAM) OS X 10.11.6 Capture One 10.

With the MB dialog box gone how can I drag something to it? Or are you not using Finder? What am I missing here (again)?
billtils
Mike, After download from the camera (and minimal editing if any), all my images are saved to sequentially numbered folders. I dragged the parent folder into Media Browser and can access each sub folder to edit content directly in APB. (But in the interest of full disclosure, at some point I often move the images that I want to keep permanently into the appropriate folder in my Aperture library and delete from the camera sequentially numbered folder, and that's when things go pear shaped with MB as it will not open an Aperture library folder. If I want to edit any after filing away I either need to round trip tiff files or export the original, edit, and then put it back into the Aperture folder). Anyway, to return to your question - yes the drag and drop worked with the parent and it works with every folder (other than Aperture or iPhoto) that I have tried. billtils
PS: Re the disappearing MB window, open Finder, open AP, open MB, click anywhere on the AP window and drag the main AP window out of the way to the left, and you will have what you see in the right hand screenshot in the above post, and go ahead and drag and drop. Well, OK. I see my mistake now. I had done the following: 1) Start APB, 2) Open Media Browser, 3) Open Finder (poof - Media Browser disappears), 4) Click on APB (Media Browser appears again), 5) Click on Finder to make it active so I can drag a folder (poof - Media Browser disappears), 6) Repeat steps 4 and 5 above as many times as you wish ... The "Fatal Flaw" in my process was step 5 as I guess it is not necessary to click on Finder to make it active before dragging the folder. Must be my Windows training. Some days I feel as thick as a stump. Perhaps it is time for me to go back to bed ...
billtils
Well, I suppose I'd better 'fess up that I found this by accident! The first time I tried it I opened MB first then Finder and it looked the same as with you. Next time I did it Finder first then MB and it was OK. If you do it MB first and then Finder, MB does disappear but if you then click on the AP window, MB comes back and you can reveal the Finder window by pushing the main AP one to the side.
