importing text problems

Hi, 

I have two problems when importing text to Affinity Designer (purchased version 1.7):

1. I import to an existing textbox with a style. ( I have a multilanguage project). The style goes away, I have to set it again. Annoying. 

2. If I import Eastern European languages, some characters is missing from the placed text, and I have to change them one after another. Very annoying. The fontset contains those characters, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've  even set 'Typography Language' to Croatian, without success. 

Do you have a solution for this? I couldn't find.

Otherwise it is a very promising software, some minor tweak would make it a really alternative to pro softwares. Now it unfortunatelly lacks those nuances that make a pro product. But carry on, I and many other designers (especially in Eastern Europe, I guess) want to get rid of Adobe!

Can you clarify how you're importing or placing the text, and what kind of text file it is?

Specifically, though, your second problem sounds like the file you're importing might not properly indicate the file encoding, and (for example) Designer might think you're working with an ASCII file when you have a UTF-8 file, or vice versa.

1. I just simply copy-paste text from outside AD. (From Word, Open-Office, email, anywhere)

2. Can you please help me, where can I set this UTF-8 thing, I'm not able to find it.
