Peejee
In Indesign you can import text styles from your Word document to your Indesign document. This allows you to import text directly in the right font / size. (Typograms) In Publisher I also make text some styles and it works fine too. I only must click each text manually in the 'text styles' menu for change some font or size font. That is a lot of 'mouse clicking' when you wil creating a magazine. Maybe I missed something in Publisher?
walt.farrell
All of the text styles from Word should (and do, in my experience) come in automatically when you Place a .docx file into a Publisher Text Frame. If you're not seeing that happen, perhaps you could supply the .docx file you're working with?
