Hello!

I had no problems with the public beta, but since purchasing the full release, many of my documents will cause publisher to crash when I open them. I have seen it mentioned that there is a beta that fixes some of these issues? How do I get that?

Here is an example file that causes a crash

You can find the current beta here:

It wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Thanks for the help Garrett, but it crashes that one too :(

I have opened your file without a crash.  BUT, when I first selected Open, I got the Resource Manager notification that some of the linked files could not be found on my computer  (Naturally).   I clicked NO, (don't look for them) and got your basic document, without all of the images/text? that belong in each box.   I don't think it is Publisher that is the problem.   It is undoubtedly your linked Resources, which appear to be missing.  I embed stuff myself, so don't know where you go from here, but there are other places in these forums that do discuss this issue.  Hope you can find your answer quickly!!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, thanks jm. I wonder if I moved those files and that for some reason is causing the crash on my system... but not yours. I'll try embedding in the new version and see if that fixes the issue.

If the files have changed size since they were linked then probably. A workaround is to rename the containing folder(s) then relink the images

Thanks Pauls, that's almost certainly it - The images are output from R studio and sometimes I play with the resolution/size in different iterations of the analyses I'm doing. I'll be careful about that in the future

I am also experiencing an immediate crash upon loading a PostScript file into publisher (or designer, for that matter)...

Is ist always a file issue? I attached the file that's giving me a headache, it has no dependencies/embeds whatsoever. It's sheet music, by the way.
