Lyrcaxis
Hello, I'm Lyrcaxis!. I just bought Affinity Photo so I can give it a try. Noticed it is missing a few features I find necessary to my work, so I was wondering.. 1) Can I use the Convert to Smart Objects feature 2) Is there a legal way to alter the source code a bit to my needs? 3) Can I code plugins that either override default behaviour or add new features? 4) Crop Snap-to-Selection (crop the image based on what you have selected) Thanks Edited July 26, 2019 by Lyrcaxis

You can open PSD files with Smart Objects in but we will rasterize the smart object On 7/26/2019 at 7:47 PM, Lyrcaxis said: 2) Is there a legal way to alter the source code a bit to my needs? I'm not aware of a way and we do have this section in the Licence agreement: You have no right (and shall not permit any third party) to copy, adapt, amend, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, create derivative works of, decrypt, modify, distribute or make error corrections to any aspect of the Serif Software in whole or in part On 7/26/2019 at 7:47 PM, Lyrcaxis said: 3) Can I code plugins that either override default behaviour or add new features? Not at the moment as we don't have an open API On 7/26/2019 at 7:47 PM, Lyrcaxis said: 4) Crop Snap-to-Selection (crop the image based on what you have selected) Not possible but it has been requested a number of times so may come in a future update

You can, however, use the Embedded Documents features if you are working something from scratch. Best regards!
