Frame Text Tool can't have round corners

Recommended Posts

It's a shame that you can't round the corners of a text frame created using the Frame Text Tool. But the Rectangle Tool can have round corners once it is converted to a Text Frame. It would be good if the Frame Text Tool was the equivalent of the Rectangle Tool converted to a Text Frame.

Why not simply use the Rounded Rectangle Tool, then convert it to a Text Frame?

But what if I had already created a document with lots of Text Frames. My point is that the Rectangle Tool converted to a Text Frame offers more flexibility that the Text Frame Tool and that Serif might want to consider tweaking the Text Frame Tool to make it the same as the converted Rectangle Tool.

Thanks. In my defense, Mick has only talked about using the Rectangle Tool, and modifying the rectangle to have rounded corners. I was pointing out that the rounded rectangle tool was one step shorter. But I should have recognized the more important point about Text Frames lacking a function that rectangles have.

In any case, this sounds like a good idea to bring up as a feature request in Feedback for Affinity Publisher on Desktop , since it's not really about the functioning of the beta.
