For "Cycle Selection Box" of Move Tool,
Translation should be "選択ボックスを循環"
Current translation"サイクル選択ボックス" doesn't make sense.

Or since there are only two modes, "選択ボックスを切替" might be more suitable.
This means toggling or switching rather than cycling.

Just curious: how much value is there in a Japanese translation of the UI when there is no vertical text support?

It's still valuable since most Japanese don't speak English.
Vertical text is essential in publishing/printing industry for sure, but in certain industries such as web, photography or painting, they can go without vertical text in many case.
Unless Affinity become well known, people won't be interested in it and domination by Adobe will continue.
So we have to gain users in industries where vertical text is less important first.

Hello, I also found a mistake of translation, and I would like to share that.
When we try to close a modified document, Affinity Designer shows a dialog, and the mistake is in the dialog.

The dialog says:
“<名称未設定>は削除されています。
ドキュメントを閉じようとしています。変更内容を保存しますか?”

The English meaning is:
“<Untitled> has been deleted.
The document is about to close, would you like to save your changed?”

I think that a correct Japanese message is:
“<名称未設定>は変更されています。
ドキュメントを閉じようとしています。変更内容を保存しますか?”.

Transparency Tool should be "透明度ツール" rather than "透明性ツール"

You translated Opacity to "不透明度"
So Transparency should be translated to "透明度"

不透明度/透明度  is the most common translation for Opacity/Transparency in Japanese

Translation "透明性" is usually used as ideological explanation such as for politics not physical explanation.

I suggest a translation for "Bake Corners" of Corner Tool.
カーブに変換(Convert to Curve)

"Bake" is not common word in graphic design industry especially in Japan although it's common in CGI industry.
And your translation "コーナーに色付け" doesn't make sense at all. that means colorize(or color) corners.

Translation of "stroke" should be consistent. You are using two different word "ストローク" and ”境界線"

Stroke studio is shown as "ストローク"
Stroke in Appearance studio is shown as ”境界線"
Expand Stroke commend is shown as "ストロークを展開"

FYI Adobe translate stroke and fill as:
Stroke: 線
Fill: 塗り

Also please change translation of Appearance from  "外観" to "アピアランス"
Since Adobe uses  "アピアランス", people are familiar with this word rather than "外観"

Translation of "Show Selection in Layer Panel" in User Interface preferences is inconsistent between mac and Windows.
I reported this long time ago but it's still the same.

Mac: レイヤーパネルで自動スクロールによって選択範囲を表示
Win: 選択範囲をレイヤパネルに表示

Also I suggest a translation for this option since it hasn't been translated yet.

Always use white background for Font dropdown
常にフォントドロップダウンの背景に白を使用

This is not translation for UI, but there is awful typo on the checkout screen of Serif Store.
When you add Windows version of Photo/Designer to the cart, they're shown with description that says Mac.

FYI
Members of Affinity user group in Japan are willing to help translation tasks directly with you.
Regardless of whether paid job or not.
There are many members who are an English speaker and professional in the design industry, so they may be better than translators you are using.
That makes the translation more accurate and proper quickly.
Let me know
