Split view in Photo Persona

Recommended Posts

In Affinity Photo, when in the Develop Persona it has the facility for 'split and mirror view. When I switch to Photo Persona it disappears and I am unable to see it anywhere. Am I missing something? Sorry if this has been asked before (I'm sure it has) but I am unable to find the thread. I feel it would be better if these forums were split into Photo, Designer, Publisher.

Hi RichZep,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You are not missing anything. There's no similar functionality in Photo Persona except on the destructive filters accessible through the menu Filters. Regarding splitting the forums, since all apps of the suite share the same backend/some functionality/UI we decided to keep them all in a single section. We tried to have separate sections before but people still would post in the wrong section, so as long as user's specify the app they are using or tag the post with the app's name they should get a correct answer.

Thank you MEB. That's a shame. Such a great facility

I think they designed it this way for good reason. The Destructive Filters, providing the before/after gives us the chance to see what the filter is doing to the image, before committing. The non-destructive/live filters, give you the same before/after by using layers. Just tick/un-tick the layers visibility checkbox to see the before and after.

MEB beat me to it. :)
