Cannot SAVE in Catalina Beta OS

Recommended Posts

Hi McCarver USA,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
As far as I know it should work fine in macOS Catalina. Although I haven't installed/tested it on any of my systems/Macs personally I already tried/played with Affinity Photo/Designer running on a demo system with macOS Catalina. With that said, there have been a few user reports regarding issues displaying the open/save dialogs (they appear empty) which I believe were also running macOS Catalina. We are still gathering info/looking into this.

Thanks Support.

I rebooted computer--no help.  Actually, I can't even OPEN a document.  The only way to open a photo is within the PHOTOS application and to choose EDIT/AFFINITY.

Once I do anything with that document, trying to SAVE or SAVE AS gives me the SPINNING BEACH BALL.  Affinity freezes and has to be FORCE QUIT.

I think Affinity looks like a fantastic program and I'm eager to make it work for me.  (I should never have tried the Catalina Beta; I suspect that's where the problem stems.

BTW, I'm on the mid-2019 MacBook Pro.  i-9; 16 GB memory; 512 GB hard drive.
