I'm familiar with using the break curve workaround for closing gaps in textured curves. This is still problematic when trying to transform/scale your work as the gaps tend to reappear or overextend. Is there an alternative in today's version?

Ah I see - it´s not overlapping. I´d break the curve then - and keep in mind that start+end of the texture isn´t seamless in most cases and will be noticeable anyway - like a simple stroke.
