You should be able to do either, @igh033. Have you tried, and if so did you experience some problem?

Thank you for replying.
First, there was no PSD in the batch. The existing tiff preset is 8 bits. I do not know how to change to 16 bit

If you are asking if you can use a batch job to produce PSD files, no. But you should be able to "batch process" PSD files to produce TIFF files. Just add the PSD files to your batch job.

To change the output options, click on the "..." button:
